Who is doing this
About
Rachel - draft. Cut anything that sounds like somebody else wrote it.
Thirty years as a music publisher and a music publicist. Which mostly means thirty years collecting stories about people, and learning which detail is the one that makes somebody lean in.
Now I paint them. Every piece has a person in it. No butterflies, no cats, no forests, no boats. A musician, a writer, an artist, or somebody whose story is good enough that you would sit through it.
Why the videos sound like this
I like making art. I do not like watching videos about making art. Same soft voice, same slow music, same explaining a paintbrush to somebody who is already holding one.
So the voiceover here is the subject's story instead. The lettering on a Cure sleeve was made with a cotton bud and household bleach. The prettiest love song of the eighties was packaged by a hot dog company. The painting happens underneath while you find that out.
The instructions
The video is the overview. If you want to make the thing, the PDF is ten dollars - build order, paint mixing, and the mistakes that would wreck it. Skip whatever you already know.
Commissions
The point of all this. Name somebody who matters to you. Here is how that works.
